J&W Instruments, Inc. was founded in 1972 by Phil Javinsky. J&W initially specialized in field service for the process industries. Major instrument manufactures serviced include Honeywell, Foxboro, Taylor, Leeds & Northrup, Barber-Coleman, etc. This offering expanded and the need to stock components, assemblies, and entire controls for its service base was evident.
With a solid service base in place, J&W added field sales people to increase the movement of its stocking inventory. As J&W evolved into a sales and service organization, some light manufacturing and in-house repair/assembly became necessary to meet the needs and deliveries required by our customer base. Presently, J&W manufactures data loggers and thermocouple assemblies, as well as fabricates panels and handles control valve assemblies and testing. J&W also maintains a large inventory of obsolete controls for spare parts as well as for reconditioned sales.
J&W’s calibration department, part of the in-house repair department, conforms to military standards 45662A. Approval from Boeing Aircraft and McDonnell Douglas has been in existence for many years. In an ever-competitive global economy, J&W Instruments became ISO 9002 registered in 1997. J&W is now Accredited by A2LA in accordance with the recognized Standard ISO17025 in the field of calibration. Please see our scope of accreditation for our specific disciplines.
J&W’s sales department was awarded Honeywell Industrial Automation and Control Division’s Distributor of the Year Award. J&W also received Honeywell’s Double Digit Growth Awards in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000. J&W has earned ControlAir’s Top 5 Distributor Award. These honors were achieved through exceptional growth and new product implementation into the process control market.
Through exclusive representation and distribution, J&W routinely applies and sells controllers, recorders, pressure transmitters, flowmeters, thermocouples, RTDs, infra-red temperature transmitters, control valves, analytical: water chemistry, analytical: gaseous, CEM systems, data acquisition products, flame safe guard, and instrument air controls.
J & W Instruments strives with the commitment to provide continued technical and sales support. Our confidence in these areas will ensure our customer’s satisfaction for all their process control and service needs.
